Much of the success in student achievement may be attributed to the dedication of the administration and faculty working in our Catholic schools. Together, along with parents, they cultivate a dynamic and creative learning environment that empowers students to reach their full potential.
Attracting & retaining top faculty with a competitive salary has become a key discussion point for parishes and schools locally and nationally. Four years ago, the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania introduced the concept of “Teacher Excellence Endowment Funds” that provide annual honorariums to recognize the outstanding work and tireless effort performed by teachers in Diocesan schools.
Teacher Excellence Funds with the Catholic Foundation
Four schools in the Diocese have Teacher Excellence Endowment Funds managed by the Catholic Foundation. Two of the funds were started with gifts from individual donors.
- John Paul II Center for Special Learning in Reading.
- Mercy School for Special Learning in Allentown
- St. Thomas More School in Allentown
- St. Joseph the Worker School in Orefield
Please contact the Catholic Foundation to discuss starting a Teacher Excellence fund to honor the outstanding work of teachers at your favorite Catholic school.
