Seasoned fundraising professional joins Catholic Foundation team as a Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer
The Catholic Foundation of Eastern Pennsylvania welcomes Ann Marie Surovy as a Major Gifts and Planned Giving Officer. In this role Ann Marie is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift and planned giving donors and prospects with the goal of establishing or increasing endowment funds for Catholic Foundation partners.
Ann Marie has 20 years of fundraising and management experience for various nonprofit organizations in the Lehigh Valley region. Most recently, she served as Executive Director of the Miracle League of the Lehigh Valley. She has successfully raised funds for Easter Seals of Eastern Pennsylvania, DaVinci Science Center, and LifePath.
She earned the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) distinction from the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) as well as the AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Certification from Villanova University. In 2016, the AFP Eastern PA Chapter honored her with the Excellence in Fund Raising Management Award. Ann Marie is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Telecommunications.
Ann Marie has volunteered in various leadership positions for a variety of Lehigh Valley nonprofits including the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce (GLVCC), AFP Eastern PA Chapter, and the Good Shepherd Regional Catholic School (Development Committee and Board of Directors). She is also a member of the Whitehall Rotary Club.
Ann Marie and her husband Tim, along with their son Joe, are members of Holy Trinity Parish in Whitehall.
During the next few weeks, Ann Marie will be onboarding and meeting Catholic Foundation partners and donors. We look forward to working with her to help us achieve continued success in growing our partners’ endowment funds.
