On this Holy Thursday, we express our deep gratitude to our Priests in the Diocese of Allentown. We commemorate the night Christ instituted two sacraments: the Eucharist and the Priesthood. Today, we are reminded of the sacred mission entrusted to these men, and their selfless service.
Through their hands, Christ becomes present at every Mass, offering us His Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity for our salvation. Priests walk with us through life’s most joyful, sacred, and sorrowful moments — baptizing our children, hearing our confessions, anointing us when we are sick, uniting us in marriage, and recommending our souls to Heaven at the end of life. They teach, guide, and console us. They sacrifice their comfort for the sake of others.
On this first day of the Triduum, we honor their vocation, chosen by God to serve as spiritual fathers to countless souls. May they be blessed with renewed strength, joy, and holiness in their calling.
