Walk With Mary | Summons to Forever

From Calvary To Pentecost — And Into Our Lives Today — The Blessed Mother Continues To Lead Us Closer To Her Son.

It’s a fitting coincidence — or maybe not a coincidence at all — that May, the month dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, so often falls during the Easter season. This May, we move from the end of the Easter season to the Ascension, and then Pentecost.

Mary’s role in the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of our Lord was second to none — save our Lord Himself.

And she didn’t disappear after Holy Week. She’s still there at the Ascension and mentioned by name in the upper room at Pentecost. Every step of the way — for the Apostles, for the early Church. And 2,000 years later, she’s still there. Still interceding. Still in our corner.

There is a reason devotion to Mary — and in particular, the Rosary — is something the Church has encouraged for hundreds of years.

In a month like this one, it makes a lot of sense why. To pray the Rosary is to walk with Mary and see our Lord’s life through her eyes: His birth, His ministry, His suffering, His risen glory.

She was there for all of it, and she can draw us closer to Him still.
